The last five decades have witnessed a revolution in the building field in Egypt. With the introduction of modern blinds, to suspended ceilings, to aluminum doors and windows, to Curtain Walls and Structural Glazing, the Egyptian market has gone through extensive development in that field.

All these changes have caused many to innovate, while others stood by and watched. This not only occurred in the production process itself, but also went on to include the service area for the products sold. Nowadays, we have an open market that is thriving with competition. In 1948, Hassan Bey Helmy formed Hassan Helmy & Co., a family owned business.

Since then, licenses have been obtained for the production of new ranges of products in Egypt..

The license from Hunter Douglas for fabrication of Venetian blinds (given in 1948) is the oldest such license worldwide.

The license from Hunter Douglas for the fabrication of Luxalon ceilings and claddings was given in 1960. License from Hunter Douglas for all other Luxaflex window-covering products such as rolling shutters, insect screens, vertical blinds, etc. - Agreement with SODIAL for the extrusion of S29 profiles in Egypt in 1981.

After the acquisition by INSTALLUX, the agreement is now in force with INSTALLUX for their current systems.

SOMEC: Curtain Walls, Structural Glazing and Skylights.

- Our manufacturing facility is located at Abu Rawash industrial zone on grounds of 9,000 sq.M. The buildings have an area of 3,500 sq.m. - The machines and tools are a mixture of proprietary machines from the partners with which we have agreements as well as standard machines and tools.

- In 1996, we obtained ISO 9002 certification from Bureau Veritas Quality International (BVQI). We are the only company in our field to have achieved this in Egypt.
